Dad Visits London: Day 2

Day 2 (Oct 21st)

IMPORTANT PLACES TO NOTE

  • Winston Churchill Museum
  • St James Park
  • Buckingham Palace
  • Royal Horse Mews
  • Gordon’s Wine Bar

Seeing as my dad was suffering from some serious Jet-lag, he was wide awake at 8am… Which meant we were both starting our day early! But that was okay, because he had lots to see! We first headed to the Winston Churchill Museum, spending HOURS in there. Now, I’ll admit, it may have been a bit to much time there for my liking, but my dad soaked in every ounce of information he could there and that made the visit well worth the waiting!

Later we walked around St. James Park and stopped by Buckingham Palace for a photo op, then we went to go check out the Royal Horse Mews and ended the evening at a Pub (Unknown Chain Pub… why aren’t there any ma and pop shops anymore?) for dinner!

We concluded our night at Gordon’s Wine Bar! This place had the sweetest Riesling I have ever tasted it was DELICIOUS! We also enjoyed a cracker and cheese plate! It was lovely! If you are near Embankment, go enjoy a drink at Gordon’s. It’s theΒ oldest wine bar in London and it was established in 1890. Tell them “Sam sent you”… Not really, they will look at you weird!
